He has contributed to multiple projects involving text analysis, social network analysis, and temporal analysis. His current work centres on applying machine learning methods to humanities and social science research, with particular interests in visual and multimodal approaches. His research and the toolsets he has developed have been published in top-tier conferences and journals.
